Our gallery space hosts monthly creative exhibitions from a range of artists and community projects. The space can be used on a commission basis, or rented. Exhibiting artists often hold "Meet the Artist" opportunities and run associated workshops.

New Opportunities for artists to exhibit at the Forge Gallery in 2025
The Forge Gallery has hosted a wonderful range of exhibitions during 2024. Many artists have exhibited during the year and visitors to the gallery have had the opportunity to view and buy a variety of artwork.
There has been high demand to exhibit at the Forge and exhibitions are usually held by single artists. To support as many artists as possible during 2025 the gallery will invite collaborative exhibitions, allowing two or three artists to share the exhibition space. This will give more artists the opportunity to exhibit and reduce the cost to individuals.
October in the Gallery
The exhibition throughout October is:
Lepus - A Printmaker's Celebration of the Hare.
This is the first solo exhibition by Gillian Swaile, a local printmaker based in Northumberland and studio member of Northern Print.
This exhibition shows linocut prints, screen prints and a monoprint collage . The exhibition is inspired by the artist's lifelong love of the natural world. 'Lepus' celebrates the life of the hare, an ancient and beautiful wild creature which is created in wonderful detail in this excellent display of handmade print work.
