We are open!
The Forge, Cafe, Shop and Gallery will open each Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday
until further notice.
We will be open from 10am with the cafe closing at 3.30pm, the shop & gallery at 4pm.
We have carried out a thorough risk assessment, in accordance with guidelines set out by the Government, and are putting in place measures to ensure social distancing through managing numbers in the shop and one way flows. We are also offering card only sales; providing hand sanitiser; and putting in place a regular cleaning regime (wiping down of surfaces, handles etc). A copy of the risk assessment will be available to view in the shop if anyone wishes to see it.
Allendale Forge Studios is a unique attraction where visitors can meet local artists, shop, enjoy delicious home-cooked food and explore the surrounding area. The gallery hosts monthly exhibitions, the shop is full of high quality handmade gifts from northern makers, and artists' work is displayed throughout the building.
You can either pre-book a table in the gallery by contacting the Forge on 01434 683975 to view that way, or simply drop in to the exhibition in but you might have to wait for a slot if there are too many in the cafe/gallery as, due to covid restrictions, we cannot have more than two people walking around viewing the exhibition at any one time.
