I was born in Northumberland but moved with work to Yorkshire where I lived for 35 years.   I worked in agriculture and my heart has always been in the countryside.  After taking early retirement, I returned to Northumberland three years ago

 

I started making sticks about six years ago.  I am a member of both the British Stickmakers Guild and the Border Stickdressers Association.  The Hazel used in my sticks is collected by me from a friend’s farm in the North Tyne Valley.
