Helen is an ex-primary teacher who has always been creative and an avid nature follower. 

 

She started needle felting for fun pre-COVID after an introductory lesson in her local area.

 

In 2022, after a major back operation, Helen began designing and creating creatures, which helped with her mental and physical health. 

Ever since then, Helen has tried out new self-taught techniques to improve her work. 

 

She is a member of the Guild of Master Craftsmen after having her work assessed in August 2024, and her aim is to continue to create more whimsical and realistic wildlife in 2d and 3d form for others to enjoy.
