Christine Woodcock
Photographic Artist Christine Woodcock is behind the Northumberland based company White Oak Studios. Her art aims to explore people’s relationships with the rural landscape and incorporates the science of natural history alongside the romance of folklore.
Chris fuses traditional, slow photography with modern digital methods, producing work which is both representational and expressively tactile. Her images (framed and mounted photographs, cyanotypes, anthotypes and mixed media pieces) feature treasured native plants and animals.

I am local artist living in Gilsland, moving from Manchester in 2024, I paint predominantly what I see around me, nature, wildlife. Educationally I studied Art but my career was in Commercial Procurement in Aerospace, Defence and Utilities. Finding Art again has been wonderful, giving me opportunities to support community events, craft fairs and more so exhibit my work at various venues.
My ethos is to create original works , prints and some merchandise based on my work, something for everyone. I paint in my style , acrylic, watercolours and oils but developing and learning along the way. I hope you like my work.
