Kate is a printmaker working in linocut, producing layered original prints in limited editions.
Based in Newcastle, but often found walking on the coast and in the hills of Northumberland, her art is a response to places she has discovered around the North East – sometimes wide open landscapes and, at other times, something smaller in scale like a rockpool, a hedgerow, a seedhead, or a pebble.
Recently Kate has started to produce prints of wildlife found in Northumberland, and also a series of mini prints of natural forms, all objects which have been collected while out walking.
