An established and award-winning artist, Sue works mainly in oil on canvas, with works on paper in mixed drawing media.  Her work follows various themes, linked by their opportunities to explore the representation of movement.   Hence, her subject matter ranges from landscape, figure work, dancers, wave movements, and equestrian based work.  These themes are developed from sketchbook work on location, with direct observation being essential.   This approach was developed during her studies (BA Fine Art, University of Leeds).  Her bold compositions show a vibrant approach to colour, influenced by her 9 years living in France.
