Pam Malkin

Pam Malkin is an artist and printmaker who works from a studio at home in the North East, producing vibrant watercolours, mixed media and oil paintings inspired by the spirit of a place and the beauty of the Northumbrian landscape and coast.

Recently, during the Coronavirus lockdown, Pam created some new work inspired by a pond in a neighbour’s garden.  The comparison with our lives being condensed and narrowed by the pandemic mirrored the life of tadpoles trying to escape the confines of a small area and step out into a bigger world.  We ourselves are little fish unable to escape into a bigger world just now.
