Pam Malkin is an artist and printmaker specialising in watercolour and mixed media. Vibrant colours play a large part in her work. A recent hot summer holiday in Umbria Italy inspired a series of paintings using oil on canvas.
She has shown her work extensively across the North East since graduating from Sunderland University with a BA fine art Hons degree in the late 1990s. In 2000 she had her first solo exhibition at Tallantyres Gallery, Morpeth and in 2005 was appointed artist in residence at Hexham Abbey. In 2013 along with six other artists she celebrated the return of the Lindisfarne Gospels with a summer long exhibition at the Forge. Images of her art work have been sold in Tyne and Wear Museums and Art Galleries featuring the Roman Wall. She also creates original cards and prints.
