I am an independent artist living and working in Bardon Mill.  After graduating from Edinburgh, I taught art in schools and colleges, but I have now retired to concentrate on my painting.

 

I have worked in most media over the years, though my favourite remains oils and watercolours.  Recently I have become intrigued by the possibilities offered by painting directly on the computer.

 

For many years I lived in Gateshead and concentrated on industrial/urban subjects, but since moving to Northumberland I have returned to landscapes, particularly the Northumbrian hills and moors, and the area around Hadrian's wall, which is very near to where I now live.
