Carol Nunan is an artist printmaker whose studio - a converted barn on the edge of Hexham - is where she creates her original handmade prints and teaches printmaking workshops.
Carol's inspiration is the local flora and fauna, the iconic Northumbrian castles, Northumberland’s Christian heritage, pre and post Roman archeology and the geology of The Whin Sill.
Carol’s work is created entirely by hand using two printmaking media - monotype and collagraph. Unlike many printmakers Carol does not create an edition of identical prints. Her editions are 'variable editions' within which each print is a unique interpretation of a similar theme or subject.
