I am a textile artist, teacher and tutor from Cramlington. My inspiration primarily originates in Northumberland and Cumbria where I explore wild flowers. I photograph the colours, patterns, and textures, these inform my textile art. Fragments of material and mixed media create the foundations of my embroidery. Hand dyed fabrics and yarns are used to create textures through layering small pieces of fabrics and definition added with machine and hand embroidery.
