Born in Newcastle, I graduated in Fine Art from Winchester School of Art before returning to Newcastle to do a Masters Degree.
After five years as a portrait artist, I qualified as a teacher and have taught in secondary education for thirty years. Throughout this time, I continued with my own practice, occasionally exhibiting and selling work.
Now that my children have “flown the nest”, I have left teaching to take my career in Art to a full time level.
My fascination for drawing has led me to experiment with a wide range of drawing media, and has recently led to experimentation with digital drawing.
