I was born and live in Northumberland. I qualified in Botany, Horticulture and Art, so many of my paintings are of botanical subjects. I have travelled and lived in Africa and Nepal, where I started painting people and buildings.
Then I branched out into painting North of England landscapes followed by a number of paintings of the built environment. Painting with children, I found sheep to be a popular subject and latterly I became interested in surrealist paintings and enjoy creating them. I have had two of these hung at the Royal Scottish Academy open exhibitions.
