The entangled tapestry of the undergrowth is a continuous source of inspiration, wherever the eye rests a new compelling composition presents itself.
Throughout the seasons from birth to decay, nature provides an endless gallery of wonderful designs.
Creating something of beauty that repsresnts thes wonderful designs is my personal brief.
In general, I work in watercolour and pen and ink, I also create individual prints as ‘hand cut stencil prints’, enjoying simplifying my designs to suit the discipline of this fine craft process.
The style of my work is influenced by the decorative arts, I find the linear form and black and white in particular, helps to emphasis the details of natural design that can be lost in an ocean of green. As a designer/illustrator I have taken on commissions for publication and designed exhibitions for a variety of heritage subjects.
